Weekly Update 11.09.20

Dear Parents / Carers

I hope this email finds you and your family well,

I am writing to update you on our start of term so far. We have all been incredibly impressed with how our pupils and students have taken on the challenge of adapting to the new routines and processes in school and residential over the week.

It has been great to see how they have already been demonstrating our school values; the pupils and students have shown great adaptability and resilience. In particular, we welcomed a large number of new pupils to St Mary's this week, all of whom have made a very positive start to their time with us.

I have seen lots of excellent engagement with learning this week and I hope our pupils and students have been sharing this with you at home.

In terms of routines, pupils and students are becoming more confident and have responded fantastically well to our control measures around Covid 19 Coronavirus. It is clear that they are feeling safe and increasingly confident in our environment. Entry and exit arrangements to the school have worked well, and punctuality has been excellent. I would like to take this opportunity to remind parents and carers to remain with their vehicles and maintain safe

distancing.

Thank you for your support so far and we look forward to working with you over the coming weeks and beyond. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Yours sincerely

Natalie Edwards Acting Principal
